Eat your greens on meatless Mondays
Meat processing consumes a great deal of fossil fuels and studies have shown that diets that include meat involve nearly twice the amount of carbon emissions than vegetarian diets. Also, vegan diets, reduce carbon emissions sevenfold as compared to diets that include meat and dairy. So, maybe not “go the whole hog” but try to do one day a week without some meat.
Take a day off
Carbon emissions are increased as employees use fuel travelling between work and home. Also, resources are used providing employees with a desk and computer. So why not encourage employees to work from home?
