Converting waste to biofuels for a low-carbon energy

Climate Reality Leader Dr Omotola Babajide was on the SAfm Enviro Show with Nancy Richards on 19 January 2017 to discuss biofuels as a low-carbon, alternative solution to powering vehicles and machinery but also dealing with waste. In this interview, she explores examples of how bioenergy fits into the energy sector in South Africa in the shift towards renewable, resource-efficient energy.

Dr Babajide is Adjunct Lecturer at the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology where she teaches environmental engineering and  Global Environmental Studies (GES). She also works as Principal Lecturer at the Adeyemi University of Education in Nigeria
