Actions are being planned in cities and towns across the continent for Africa Day, to demand that our local leaders commit to building a fossil free Africa that puts people and justice before profit.
Africa doesn’t need fossil fuels to reach its development goals. As the least responsible, and yet most vulnerable to climate change, Africa must follow the Climate Vulnerable Forum pledge made by 16 African governments in November 2016 to accelerate the transition towards an economy powered by 100% renewable energy.
Register your own event so others can join you, or you can join an event that is already registered in your region! Visit #AfrikaVuka for the events map and join your fellow Africans in taking climate action this Africa Day.
