World Health Day is celebrated annually on the 7th of April since its inception in 1948. Each year the World Health Organization chooses a theme, highlighting a priority area of much-needed health action. While 2019’s theme has yet to be announced, did you know that climate change affects our health?

Climate change (and the fossil fuels that cause it) puts our health at risk in a long list of different ways: from increased risk of communicable diseases like malaria, extreme heatwaves, to health issues related to air pollution, and more. Find out more about how climate change affects our health here – and we will share the 2019 theme for World Health Day as soon as it’s announced!
