The African Climate Reality Project represented by Food & Trees for Africa (FTFA) in collaboration with the South African Institute for International Affairs and the South Durban Community Environmental Alliance are implementing Action 24, a project aimed at enhancing civil society participation in environmental governance in South Africa. The project focuses on improving public engagement in law-making and legislative oversight on matters pertaining to sustainability, climate resilience and a just transition to a low-carbon future, paying special attention to youth and women participation. It targets the National Parliament and four Provincial Legislatures: Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo and the Western Cape.
This project is co-financed by the European Commission under the Programme “Enhancing CSO Participation in Legislatures’ oversight and Participation Processes”, Grant Contract No. AFS/2017/391-048; the Finnish Embassy to South Africa; and the Climate Reality Project.
We are seeking the services of a Consultant to conduct the Mid-Term Evaluation of the project.
The evaluation will focus on the assessment of the project design, implementation and process of the Action 24 project, as well as outcomes and emerging impacts where possible. As a result of this Mid-Term Evaluation, recommendations from the Consultant are expected in order to suggest mid-course adjustments in the strategy or intervention, if necessary.
The work is expected to be completed by mid April 2019.
